Delabs Games Secures $4.7 Million in Funding for Polygon Development

Delabs Games, a blockchain game developer known for creating Rumble Racing Star and other forthcoming titles, has successfully raised $4.7 million in seed funding. The investment round was spearheaded by Hashed Ventures and included contributions from Spartan Labs, Polygon Labs, Planetarium, a blockchain gaming startup, and Merit Circle, a gaming-focused decentralized autonomous organization (DAO).

Delabs Plans to Go All In with Its New Game

The announcement of the investment follows the exclusive testing event for Rumble Racing Star, a PC game that Decrypt’s GG called “Mario Kart for NFT degens.” Delabs is also developing Space Frontier, a space survival game, and Meta Bolts, a whimsical post-apocalyptic survival game.

The funds raised will be used to accelerate the development of these three games, as well as to support marketing and community-building efforts. Delabs Games is committed to creating games on Polygon, a network that scales Ethereum.

This investment is a significant recognition that Web3 technology is not only here to stay, but is also set to transform the gaming industry by giving players true ownership and control over their digital assets in-game.

Delabs Games is the crypto gaming division of 4:33 Creative Lab, a South Korean game developer with over 13 years of experience in the industry and more than 250 million global downloads. The parent company has launched popular mobile games such as Boxing Star, Battle Boom, and Eroica.

Rumble Racing Star is scheduled for release later this year, while no release dates have been announced for Space Frontier and Meta Bolts. The Adventure Pass NFT from Delabs titles was previously released on Ethereum and gives owners access to Rumble Racing Star as well as exclusive in-game goodies and other advantages across the company’s growing library of titles.

It is important to note that Delabs Games is not the same as DeLabs, the American startup responsible for the popular NFT projects DeGods and y00ts. Interestingly, even though they are completely separate entities, Rumble Racing Star includes a character based on the y00ts project, as well as drivers inspired by Bored Ape Yacht Club, Goblintown, and other well-known projects.
