Conflux Multichain Protocol to Close its Doors After Two Years

ShuttleFlow, a multichain protocol developed by the Conflux Foundation, also known as the Shanghai Tree-Graph Blockchain Research Institute, will shut down after two years of operation. ShuttleFlow has been a prominent player in the blockchain and crypto space, enabling cross-chain asset transfers.

ShuttleFlow’s technology stack will be handed over to Web3 studio Zero Gravity, which will continue to develop the protocol under a new name. This transition will ensure the protocol’s development and its value to the blockchain community.

ShuttleFlow Users Can Migrate to Zero Gravity

Users can rest assured that their funds are safe and will be moved from ShuttleFlow to Zero Gravity. Users who have already used ShuttleFlow to bridge their assets and claimed them on the target chain do not need to do anything else for the migration.

After ShuttleFlow stops its bridging service, users can use Zero Gravity’s official dApp or the bridging aggregator, which will integrate Zero Gravity when it launches. The ShuttleFlow dApp will remain partially functional until January 2024 to allow users who have bridged assets but have not yet claimed them to get their assets back.

Conflux Multichain Protocol to Close its Doors After Two Years

The ShuttleFlow decentralized application (dApp) will cease its bridging operations on November 6, 2023, at 22:00 (GMT+8). However, the dApp will continue to operate with limited functionality until January 6, 2024, at 22:00 (GMT+8). After this date, both the ShuttleFlow website and the dApp will be completely shut down. Please note these dates and times to ensure a smooth transition of your activities.

Finally, its website and servers will be forever deleted. In 2021, Conflux launched the Shuttleflow asset bridge to facilitate its ecosystem users’ access to decentralized finance. The company claimed that its proof-of-work algorithm enabled protocol transactions of up to 6,000 per second.

Earlier this year, Conflux Foundation partnered with China Telecom, the second-largest in the country with over 390 million users, to create a blockchain SIM card.

Conflux is a layer-1 blockchain that uses a hybrid proof-of-work and proof-of-stake consensus. Its parent, the Shanghai Tree-Graph Blockchain Research Institute, is backed by the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government.
