Paradigm, an investment firm that is focused on supporting Web3 companies, has announced the launch of a Crypto Policy Council that features politicians from different political parties with diverse expertise.
The council has been reported to feature Paul Davis Ryan, the former Speaker of the US House of Representatives as a Senior Advisor alongside Chris Brummer who is a professor of law and the faculty director of Georgetown’s Institute of International Economic Law.
Other council members include Marta Belcher, Deb Callahan, Makan Delrahim, Nicole Elam, Steve Israel, and Parker Poling. The eight-member, cross-partisan council has been appointed to provide guidance to Paradigm’s management and help the business “convey the story of Web3 in Washington and around the world.”
Justin Slaughter who is the Policy Director at Paradigm tweeted that he is happy to finally announce the launch of the Crypto Policy Council. He believes the team has got all it takes to tackle the challenges of the crypto policy ecosystem because of their years of experience.

Slaughter further emphasized that no one person, or even a small group of people, could possibly fully understand all of its complicated components due to obstacles in the different fields that crypto crosses over, such as economics, ecology, finance, technology, and national security. However, he said that this council might bring some light into the shadows.
General Partnerships With Paradigm
Paradigm is an investment firm that has claimed to see new ideas in every sector of the economy such as gaming, politics, security, and sports.
Paradigm recently partnered with FTX to Introduce One-Click Futures Spread Trading. Users of both Paradigm and FTX can now trade the spread between spot, perpetual, and maturity futures on certain cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Solana, and Ethereum.
When trading these future spreads on the Paradigm platform, the users get to pay 50% less fee. Also, unlike trading on a traditional exchange, trading on Paradigm will give participants the chance to execute in a rigid market that is less dangerous. Market makers might set higher pricing and make large offerings as a result.
In August, Paradigm raised a seed capital of $20 million to support Tessera, a Non-fungible token (NFT) based platform. Tessera Founder and CEO Andy Chorlian stated that it intends to create a new protocol with the additional funding so as to assist maintain the integrity of the fractionalized NFTs.
