Shibarium is a secondary blockchain network that will run on top of Ethereum but with faster and cheaper transactions. It will handle most of the transactions involving SHIB and other ecosystem tokens while maintaining a direct connection to Ethereum for security and interoperability.
The network will also enable SHIB holders to burn their tokens, which will reduce the circulating supply and potentially increase the value of SHIB.
The project is being built by Unification, a blockchain company that specializes in layer 2 solutions. The official release date for Shibarium has not been announced yet, but it could happen in mid or late 2023.

LucieSHIB announced some new information to be revealed soon but did not give any details as they are waiting for the official statement. They said that the most common question from the SHIB army lately is “Wen Shibarium?” The user revealed that the mainnet launch is nearer than the community might think, as the dev team led by Shytoshi Kusama is working faster on it. It also said that some things are going smoothly “in testing, etc.” according to the post.
Shibarium is one of the most anticipated projects in the Shiba Inu ecosystem, as it could unlock the full potential of SHIB and other tokens. By providing a faster, cheaper, and more scalable layer 2 solution for Shiba Inu products and services, Shibarium could attract more users and developers to the ecosystem and increase the adoption and value of SHIB.
