During the #TheGateway conference in Dubai, it was excitedly announced that The Open Network (TON) Wallet has begun its global rollout in @telegram settings.
This news marks a significant milestone in global cryptocurrency adoption, as the Wallet will initially be introduced in select countries in Africa, before expanding to other regions of the world.
The founder and CEO of The Open Platform, Andrew Rogozov, noted that, supported by Telegram as its official partner, the Wallet seeks to offer an autonomous and secure user experience.

Additionally, it was announced that the Wallet will expand to the Middle East, Europe and the Asia Pacific region in the first quarter of 2024, before being available worldwide in the second quarter of the same year.
It is important to note that, despite being the official Telegram blockchain, TON operates autonomously.
John Hyman, Chief Investment Officer at Telegram, emphasized that the company is focused on offering an exceptional messaging platform and has no intentions of entering the crypto space.
However, they are committed to providing TON with the tools necessary to serve its 80 million global users.
The article also highlights the impressive performance of TON’s native cryptocurrency, Toncoin (TON).
Boosted by the recent introduction of giveaways on Telegram, Toncoin has reached its highest levels in 11 months in $2,58, positioning itself as the 11th largest cryptocurrency with a market capitalization exceeding $8 billion, according to CoinMarketCap data.
In a notable gesture, Pavel Durov, CEO of Telegram, used $200,000 in TON tokens to cover Telegram Premium subscriptions for 10,000 users. This practical use of tokens underlines the usefulness of Toncoin in the Telegram ecosystem.
